We celebrate Elk Fest 2011 this weekend by running footage from 2010 of the elk lounging on the Estes Park, Colorado golf course. While the elk does flip their ears, the bull elk shows off an impressive rack. We don't know if this is the bull elk poached last year by a bow hunter who couldn't hit the mark, but we hope the game wardens are waiting for that poacher this year. And Paula Rhoads, host, continues discussing race relations and other info about how some of the schools in the Montbello and Green Valley Ranch area have progressed during the advent of reform and "innovation." As school board elections are upon us, Paula shares several events to meet candidates and ask probing questions of what they intend to do. SPECIFICALLY. Also, the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado annual conference Oct. 12 & 13 is in the Denver Metro area, with a full slate of topics that include legal reviews and controversies. Recent news reports give rise to ongoing discussions of immigration issues and how, maybe, the enforcement of laws in other states could result in an influx of "Latinos" to Colorado.
